LBP worse w sneeze: A slipped or herniated disc in the lumbar spine (lower back) can cause pain with sneezing. Sneezing causes an increase in the intra-thoracic & intro-abdominal cavities which in turn place additional pressure on the already pressured disc. Cough can do the same. This is similar to stress urinary incontinence where sneezing and coughing can cause unanticipated leakage of urine. Lumbar spine mri.
