A 28-year-old female asked:

When i was getting into the car i accidentally bumped my head with the car door.. i have a little bump on my head with little brusing. i do not have nausea,loss of conciousness,or disorientation or dilated pupils. should i see the doctor?

Head bump: If your only symptom has been a small bump with bruising, than medical assessment is not likely warranted.

Watch for symptoms: Agree with previous answer, but if you develop the other signs you mentioned or sleepiness or vomiting, pleased see a doctor for a complete exam/evaluation.

There does not appear to be any reason, at this point, for urgent medical care, and the small superficial bruising should improve over the next 7-10 days. Unlikely, there will be lasting consequences of any sort.
