ESR: The ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) is the rate that red blood cells in a test tube in an hour. It is a measurement of inflammation in the body. A normal range is about 0 to 22 mm/hr for men & about 0 to 29 mm/hr for women. Normal value ranges can differ slightly by labs.
