Classic lab test: The erythrocyte sedimentation rate ("sed rate") is a very old blood test of limited value and often subject to lab error. It's often up in some of the inflammatory diseases; 41 is only a mild elevation. This is not by itself the cause of your infertility, whether or not the cause itself is known. Request a full explanation from your personal physician, and good luck in becoming a mother.
