I had a spinal tap 3 days ago. i have been suffering with severe headaches and i understand that might go away. now i have developed a sudden lump on the top of my head. i am worried. what could this be? is this normal?

Lump: The lump may not be related to the tap, but to the reason for why you had the tap or completely unrelated. Your treating medical team should be aware so that they can examine and further make proper recommendations.

You have acquired a post-Lumbar Puncture headache secondary to your procedure, and this can readily be reversed by a "blood patch" procedure. The lump has no relationship and may involve local bruising or a skin issue.
