Talk to your OB ASAP: During pregnancy, the cervix becomes softer, more fragile, and more vulnerable to the effects of trauma and microbes. Cervicitis is typically caused by a sexually transmitted infection and must be treated immediately so that there is no chance of transmission to the baby or into your blood stream during labor.
