Ortho Retainers: Failure to wear your retainers can result on relapse, meaning your teeth will slowly move back to where they started before treatment. You are not in active treatment by wearing your retainers, you are in the retention phase. I cannot see the military not enlisting a recruit because they wear a retainer.

Retainers: The only thing that I can tell you, or any other Orthodontic patient, is that if you don't wear them, your teeth/jaws will shift. How much? n o one knows until after they have shifted. Shame to throw away all that time, money, and effort. Talk to your Orthodontist about alternative retention treatments.
