Dermatologist: Sensitivity to bright lights is a nonspecific symptom. Recurrent itchy rash on back and shoulders could be an allergic reaction to something that comes in contact with the skin in those areas. A yeast infection called tinea versicolor involves the back and is more apt to occur if the skin is warm, moist and oily. I recommend consulting a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment.
