A member asked:

Do rodents spread rabies?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Generally not: This would vary by what you mean by rodent as some include many large animals in this group. The rats/mice most consider in this category are not listed as a rabies risk. That may be since they would not survive any contact with the animals that carry it. I would contact your local county health department to confirm the issue. They monitor local rabies issues & the vaccine availability.
