My husband is experiencing abdominal pain in the right side of his body and when he presses that area he experiences pain and some pain when breathing what do you suggest he does?

Exam needed: I recommend that he go to the hospital emergency room where prompt care and testing are available. I'm concerned about acute appendicitis if the pain and tenderness are in the right lower abdomen or acute gall bladder inflammation if its the right upper abdomen.
