I got tested for chlamydia and got treated. we waited 7 days after our treatment. my partner and i have been using condoms also but he said hes positive again. could it be that its antibiotic resistant? what are the next steps i should take?

Chlamydia treatment: How soon after treatment was your partner retested? The chlamydia test can remain positive for up to 3 weeks even if the infection is cured. For that reason, retesting should not be done before 3 weeks. If longer than 3 weeks, perhaps treatment failed. That almost never happens with doxycycline, but if treated with single dose azithromcyin, it's possible. Azithro fails up to 5% of the time.
