Woke up one night after what felt like i slept on my beast, and my areola skin was thick and a different texture, swollen and tender and my boob felt more lumpy. went to doctor and she diagnosed as "allergies". its been 2 weeks and i'm concerned?

Follow up with Dr.: It is important to follow up with your Dr about situations and symptoms that do not resolve or get progressively worse. Talk to them and arrange for another appointment. It may be an infection or something more serious, but you need to have a physical exam to determine the next step.

Await period.: Breast cysts more commonly occur in the week or two before each menstrual period. If these changes (unlikely due to allergy) persist after you forthcoming period, I would see a board-certified gynecologist or surgeon for at least a complete breast exam.
