A member asked:

Have a bad whiplash from years ago. when my neck is sore, can the prior whiplash make my head tender when i massage it? the tenderness is symmetrical and only happens if i massage with a firm touch. thank you?

Your current neck pain is likely due to the culmination of prior acute and chronic traumas, and most likely now secondary to wear and tear cervical spondylosis. Not unique for the pain to radiate to the back of the head, especially on stimulation, but this raises perhaps excluding occipital neuralgia. See your doctor and get this checked.
