Completely normal: Infants can produce stool few or many times per day. Each child has their own normal. At 8.5 months, your baby should be receiving not just breastmilk, but should have already started on soft, pureed vegetables, fruits and cereals. As more solid food is introduced, you may see a firming up of the stool and therefore fewer stools per day.
