A member asked:

Do slaps to the head cause brain damage. people at my school go around slapping each other on the head. there is no symptoms of brain damage. i wonder if i am susceptible to brain damage?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Generally not: The brain as an important organ is surrounded by protective layers. The skin of the head & skull are good at absorbing trauma. Inside the skull are layers of protection like bubble wrap, supported by a layer of fluid that absorbs trauma. What you describe sounds minimal & unlikely to trigger any damage.
