I have slight points on the tops of my ears. one has become enlarged (3mm) high and is white and is somewhat like a scab. i suspect sun damage. should i consult my gp?

Yes, good plan!: Any new and persistent skin lesion should be examined in person. So, yes, see your GP. Going forward, wear a hat and/or sunscreen when outdoors (along with bug repellant with DEET, when it's buggy outside).
