I have 5 week old with silent reflux. on alimentum and prevacid (lansoprazole). can i add rice cereal to formula to help keep it down. if so, how much and how often?

Rice cereal will have a foreign protein source and may be a problem. The amount is somewhat arbitrary.When using cereal many add a teaspoon/4 oz.You could get a similar effect by adding some alumentum powder (same amount) and not have a new protein.The idea is to thicken fds.
