Cold sore : There is treatment for cold sores. Which is HSV type 1. Typically treated with antivirals. Depending on how many episodes one has in a year, pts can be placed on chronic medications to suppress them. However typically cold sores are on the vermillion borders of the lips. You should be evaluated to make sure what you have are in fact cold sores inside your mouth. As there can be other causes

Needs eval: You don't get recurrent cold sores inside your mouth. These painful sores, also called aphthous ulcers can come from many different triggering factors. They can relate to the diet, various systemic diseases like celiac or inflammatory bowel disease. The can come from vitamin deficiency. I would share your experience with your doc who can help you sort out the cause.
