A year or so ago my period started getting heavier. flow used to be brownish mostly but now is redder at the beginning and heavy, while tapering off to low and brownish at end. the flow is technically normal amount and consistent. but why the change?

Menses: Hormonal changes can be one factor that impacts flow. However, brown blood is consistent with older blood being cleaned from the uterus.
