A member asked:

Been on bc & period flow was normal/light for months & now heavy flow with cramping, low back pain, & brighter red blood - normal or possible problem?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can bary: The duration and intensity of your periods are usually lessened with contraceptive pills. However, you may still have occasional heavy bleeding. Take ibuprofen for the cramps. If you continue to have heavy bleeding see your Gyn for possible fibroids or for a change of pills
