Normally my breasts are sore before my period. this time they werent and my period is very heavy for 5 days now (large clots followed by steady flow of red blood) when usually its only the 1st 2 days. something doesnt feel right. whats going on?

Many things: can cause this, medications, thyroid issues, insulin resistance. Irregular ovulation. Fibroids of the uterus. If you see your doctor, an exam, blood testing, ultrasound can all be helpful.
