Lazy eye: If this is "lazy eye" or a condition called amblyopia, placing a patch on the "good" eye for 2 hours at a time can help strengthen the eye that needs help. If the function of the eye does not improve, then an eye specialist would be needed to help guide the next steps.

Eye concerns: Does a physician recommend this test or only the occupational therapist? Ask your health insurance agency if there is a provider outside of your local area that is within their network, who might be able to give her the examination.
