Kneecap issue: The large muscle in your upper thigh usually controls the tracking of the kneecap across the knee joint when you walk, climb etc. If that muscle called the quadriceps becomes weak, the kneecap can rub across the knee and cause pain, knee buckling.Modified squats and stretching of the quad muscle can help the function and improve symptoms.
