A member asked:

When the kneecap shifts life the track what does this mean? could it be the the lateral tendon is weak?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Kneecap issue: The large muscle in your upper thigh usually controls the tracking of the kneecap across the knee joint when you walk, climb etc. If that muscle called the quadriceps becomes weak, the kneecap can rub across the knee and cause pain, knee buckling.Modified squats and stretching of the quad muscle can help the function and improve symptoms. See you doc for coaching.
