A doctor has provided 1 answer

Constipation: Fear of having a bowel movement can be a sign of anal fissure, a tear in the tissue lining the anus from passage of hard stools. A doctor can evaluate for anal fissure. These will typically heal on their own within a few weeks. Avoid constipation by making sure your child drinks plenty of fluids (enough so that the urine becomes light yellow to clear) and fiber such as from fruits and veggies.
