My armpit is very swollen and sore, its not warm though. it especially hurts when i pick up my arm. im currently breastfeeding as well. do i need to see a doctor or is there anything i can take to help with the pain and inflammation?

Possibilities: This might be inflamed lymph nodes or arm pit glands, but if so you would expect it to be warm. There are rare cases where abnormal breast tissue ends up in the armpit on one or both sides & since it has no way to move out any milk it makes it can be uncomfortable as long as you breast feed. You might want your doc to help you sort this out. Moist heat or may not help.
