Rule out a clot.: If someone is seated on a plane, car or bus for hours at a time without walking or exercising ones legs, there is a risk of a blood clot (thrombus) to form in the legs' veins. The danger is the possibility that the clot can move from the leg to the lungs which can cause chest pain, shortness of breath and even death. Go to the ER or see a Dr urgently to get an ultrasound test for a blood clot.
