Sprain or celulitis: Ankle pain and swelling can be from a sprain or trauma that you don't remember or can be an early infection called cellulitis. An xray and evaluation of the joint is needed to have a clearer picture of what's going on. Swelling, redness and pain for two months is never normal. I would seek immediate medical help.Cellulir.

You should not : Have waited 2 months something is wrong, it is not normal to have what you describe. Possible differential diagnosis include: phlebitis, venous stasis/insufficiency, cellulitis, tendonitis etc this is something that should be examined in person by a doctor. Treatment may include something as benign as it compresses, to a compressive bandage to an antibiotic all depending on the diagnosis.
