What would cause a new bump on a volar ganglion cyst? the cyst is growing and today i noticed a very small bump on top of the cyst. it is only visible when i turned my hand back and stretch the skin. it is toward the edge and just over pinhead size.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ganglion: The wrist ganglion is a part of the joint capsule that pushes out between the bones of the wrist and can be variable in size. Because it is a part of the capsule that bathes the joint, it can change in size and shape. See your doctor for an initial look to make sure that is a ganglion. Usually over time they will reduce in size, but if the capsule becomes entrapped, other treatments are needed.
