A member asked:

Is a persistent chest cough and swollen eyelids related to drs diagnosis of beta hemolytic strep group b? just completed 7 days of cephalexin.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Perhaps: It seems that you may have an infection and as to whether it is group b strep depends on a culture. This could also be a viral illness in which case the antibiotic will not make a big difference. If you are not better in a few days then it may be worth getting a culture or empirically changing to a different antibiotic. Discuss with your doctor.
