Whiplash: It appears that you sustained a whiplash type neck injury and in my experience it is vary advisable to be examined by a physician for diagnosis,treatment and to get this documented on a medical record as often the symptoms are prolonged or recurrent. In the meantime wear a soft cervical collar, apply warm wet compresses to relax muscles and ligaments and take anti-inflammatory medications if able.
