Tough to treat: Redness from rosacea is one of the more difficult parts to treat. Metrocream helps with the acne like bumps and may slightly improve the redness. It will not impact the broken capillaries. You may add a medication like finacea. Remember to avoid alcohol, tobacco, spice and hot foods, sun and smoking. Also there are laser treatments for the broken capillaries.

Rosacea treatments: Topical Metronidazole creams can improve rosacea but work best on small red bumps rather than broken capillaries. Broken capillaries need treatment with a vascular laser or intense pulsed light to help close them. Avoiding rosacea triggers like heat, direct sunlight, hot drinks, spicy foods, alcohol, etc. Can help prevent new broken capillaries from forming.

I agree in part!: Broken capilaries will not mend with Metronidazole cream, but it is more expensive than Metronidazole in tablet form!
