Colby's Toothache: Colby needs to be taken to a pediatric dentist to have that problematic tooth examined and treated. It would be a great idea to have the rest of his mouth checked, too.

Discoloration: It's not the caffeine. Discoloration is caused by the dark pigments in both beverages. And the acids in the beverages cause calcium to be leached out of the enamel, and the enamel becomes more porous. See your General Dentist if you are concerned about your teeth darkening.
