Follow Dr's orders.: Make sure that you are eating a healthy diet, taking in a plentiful amount of fluids, and stop any habits associated with low birth weight babies, including smoking, taking drugs, drinking alcohol or calorie restriction. Much of a baby's weight is gained during the last weeks of pregnancy. Make sure you are frequently laying on your left side to allow for maximum blood flow to your uterus.
