Whats the difference between zenker's diverticulum and dysphagia and acid reflux?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Zenker's: Zenker's diverticulum is a pouch in the lower pharynx and can cause dysphagia or trouble swallowing food or transferring food from the pharynx into the esophagus and stomach as well as regurgitation. GERD is reflux of stomach acid and/or foods upwards into the esophagus and throat but dysphagia usually doesn't occur unless there is also esophageal motility problems or scarring of the esophagus.
