Large belly button: Is it just a belly button or a slight hernia?. In utero at 6-10 weeks the 2 sides of the abdomen come together and join sometimes it is incomplete and there is a congenital umbilical hernia.. Would discuss it with your pediatrician If not serious they watch it. F/u/ /w MD
