Probably teething.: When an infant is hitting or tugging on a specific part of the body, they are most likely trying to counteract pain or discomfort found there. It is likely that your child has teeth erupting and there is some discomfort associated with this process. Try giving her a cooled teething ring or cold wet washcloth. You can also try rubbing her gums or acetaminophen for relief.
