Why do i have to stop all blood thinning medications a week before a scope or surgery if ibuprofen is out of your system in 24hrs?

Clotting factors: Even when the medication is out of the system the effects of the medicine persist. For example effect of aspirin on platelet function persist for 3 days. Similarly effects of so called blood thinners last for a few days after last intake of the medication. Wish you good health!
