Yes: In order for a medical recommendation to be meaningful and at a minimum a good past medical history, including meds tried should be elicited and a physical exam should take place. Ignoring them may result in unusable advise. There are prescription strength drugs for gastric ulcers. Best to further advise would be your primary care doc, who can confirm the diagnosis and manage further.
