Yes but..: I don't recomend topical anesthetics because of the risk of allergy but it may help decrease the pain short term. Mild of magnesia can cover the lesion also just don't swallow...Rx wise if it is a simple ulcer Peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) will decrease infection and decrease healing time. See your dentist. Chuck.
