A member asked:

I work in a store where the city and our store mandates masks to be worn. i have had many customers claim that they are not allowed to wear masks due to certain medical conditions. is this true? are there times a physician would instruct this?

Not really: Of course for some patients wearing a mask may create some discomfort and they should avoid getting out in the first place. Wearing a mask is a public health issue, more than a personal one and unfortunately not everybody is ready to sacrifice their own sense of well being for public safety. Specifically patients with asthma or anxiety disorders may feel worsening of their symptoms when using mask
