I have pcos but it never caused hair loss. been on bc since 17. went off it last sept & hair has been falling out since nov. endo ran lots of tests, everything came back normal. started 50mg spiro yesterday. if i stop it, will my hair fall back out?

PCOS: Sometimes with an abrupt discontinuation of birth control, hair may fall out. Spironolactone is not birth control, but it is being used to treat PCOS. Spironolactone treats PCOS and helps reduce/treat female-related hair loss.

Tests only show hypothyroidism. No PCOS. Ive gained weight, Ive had hair loss, irregular/absent periods, and lots of hair on my face and neck. I know most of these also happen with hypothyroidism, but not excess hair. what else could cause it?
