A member asked:

Hi doctors! i'm due for my colonoscopy. if the doctor were to find polyps and they are removed and biopsied and found to be god forbid not benign, what are the next steps? i thought that polyps can be treated or cauterized during the colonoscopy

Abnormal colonoscop: That really depends on the actual findings. You may require further assessment to see if there is spread. Further treatment plans would be made depending on the findings.
