Vaingal bleeding: This isn't a period. Any new, abnormal, or unexplained vaginal bleeding needs medical attention, and this sounds like you have pretty serious bleeding. It makes no sense to be fearful of going to a gynecologist but willing to go to urgent care. The exam and procedures would be the same, except the UC doctors may not be as expert for vaginal bleeding as a gyn. Make a gyn appointment ASAP. Good luck
