P.A. is not a doctor: A physician assistant (a doctor's assistant), and is not a doctor. It is better if a patient can see the doctor sometimes and the p.A. Sometimes. The patient should be able to request the doctor, if he wants the doctor's experienced opinion. The p.A. May be fine taking care of minor problems, but the actual doctor should always be around. A doctor's examination might reveal a cause for the pain.
