I had my baby on july 23rd. when i reached 10 cm my doctor wasnt at the hospital. i ended up holding her in for about 25 minutes before he arrived. is there any way i hurt her or could have caused brain damage by not pushing even when i had the urge?

Not necessarily: The blood flow through the placenta determines whether such an issue would be present. Since the placenta placed out of the way near the top of the uterus with a head down baby it is able to function as designed. If it were pinched off or a fetal monitor showed baby distress it might suggest poor blood flow, but this would be the exception rather than the rule.
