Given these adverse effects of depo shot, consulting your OB/Gyn doctor for other option of contraception would be prudent.

See below: Agree with Dr. P about changing to IUD for contraception. Weight loss needs reduction in intake and increase in physical activity. Neither of these may be practical but weight loss medications are not an answer. You may wish to consult a nutritionist and joining a support group like weight watchers may help. Wish you good health!
