Unlikely/basics: Wild Chickenpox as a rule will provide lifelong immunity.Someone with an immune defect or those who have had their immune system altered by preparation for a bone marrow transplant might be susceptible. There are other blister producing illnesses that can mimic chickenpox. By adulthood, as many as 95% of those who do not think they had it will have antibodies that show they did.
