Can hunger pains occur in your lower abdomen? or do they only occur in your upper abdomen above your belly button?

Yes: Hunger pains feel like a gnawing or rumbling in the stomach. They may also present as contractions or the feeling of emptiness. These feelings can be mimicked by rumbling or contractions in the intestines lower in your abdomen too. Frequent causes include, dehydration, lack of sleep, fear/anxiety and GI disturbances caused by infections. if this occurs frequently, talk to a Dr for treatment.
