Gout: Need to be on an anti inflammatory medication also- Advil, alleve, or other. Bruising can be normal as swelling in the joint continued. Can take 2-3 weeks to subside See your local podiatrist or Orthopaedic foot and ankle specialist

I was diagnosed with gout 2 years ago and have had five episodes in foot, knee, hand. I now have a severe pain in the heel (bottom) of my left foot. Can this be gout? I take allopurinol daily and predizone with flair-ups.
