If you have no allergies or kidney damage it should be OK. Pain is said to be as bad as childbirth. Gout can be tricky and you may need to see a specialist if having recurrent attacks. Duke would be excellent place to go.

Acute gout can be treated with NSAIDs such as indomethacin. Other treatment options include colchicine and oral steroids. These can be taken together, as long as there are no side effects or allergies experienced in the past. If Uric acid level is high, allopurinol is often prescribed.
